In the year 2012, a modest venture was born in the industrial heart of Coopers Plains, focusing on a niche yet promising market: aftermarket parts for Australian pickup trucks, or as they're affectionately known locally, "utes". This journey began with a single warehouse, from where we launched our initial sales platform—an eBay store. This humble beginning marked the inception of what was to become a leading force in the automotive aftermarket industry in Australia.

Over the years, our commitment to quality and our understanding of the Australian automotive landscape have driven our growth, enabling us to carve out a significant position in the market. We specialised in becoming one of the premier suppliers of Canopies, Tub-, and Roof Racks—essential accessories for the rugged and adventurous Australian driver. Our clientele, primarily businesses, relied on us for our expertise, variety, and the quality of our products, which allowed us to expand our operations significantly.

Scaling up our Warehouses

Recognising the need to scale our operations to meet the growing demand, we invested in expanding our logistical capabilities. This strategic decision led to the acquisition of multiple large warehouses in Brisbane, a testament to our growth and commitment to providing our customers with a wide variety of products and faster, more reliable service.

Our ambition didn't stop with parts for utes. As the needs of our customers evolved, so did our product range. We broadened our inventory to include a diverse selection of 4x4 accessories, camping gear, and a comprehensive range of automotive parts. This expansion reflected our dedication to being a one-stop-shop for the automotive and outdoor adventure needs of Australians.

2023 - New Website

2023 marked a significant milestone in our journey. In our continuous effort to adapt and innovate, we made a pivotal decision to directly engage with the end consumer. This was a departure from our traditional business-to-business model and represented a new chapter in our evolution. We launched our new website, www.canetoadequip.com.au, as the cornerstone of this strategy. Our new website not only showcases our expanded product range but also serves as a direct channel for the public to access our products and expertise. This move was motivated by our desire to bring our high-quality, diverse product offerings closer to the Australian public, catering to the enthusiasts, the weekend adventurers, and professional users alike.

To this date (1st of March 2024) we have sold more than 65,000 items on our ebay store and are proud to be listed as one of the top rated sellers on ebay Australia with a 98.7% positive feedback rate.
